Zimmer® Hip Implant with Kinectiv® Modular-Neck Technology
The Zimmer® M/L Taper Prosthesis with Kinectiv® Technology uses a system of modular stem and neck components originally designed to enhance joint movement and optimize joint stability.
However, reports of serious medical issues associated with the Zimmer® M/L Taper Prosthesis using Kinectiv® Modular-Neck Technology are now beginning to surface in the United States. This recent development is leading many victims of Zimmer® hip implants to pursue legal action against the hip replacement manufacturer, Zimmer, Inc.
Ward Black Law is currently reviewing claims of patients suffering from Zimmer® hip implant failure. Many of these victims are now facing complicated revision surgeries or other serious medical issues as a result of the Zimmer® implant.
Medical Complications Associated with the Zimmer® M/L Taper Prosthesis with Kinectiv® Technology
The Zimmer® M/L Taper Prosthesis with Kinectiv® Technology utilizes some metal-on-metal components. As a result, serious side effects and medical complications have recently been associated with this hip implant, including:
- Severe pain
- Corrosion
- Metallosis
- Dislocation and loosening of the joint
- Bone fracture
Instances of complete Zimmer® hip implant failure, resulting in complicated – and often costly – revision surgeries have also been reported.
