Cecelia Peters joined the Ward Black Law family in 2021 as an Asbestos Claims Investigator. In this role, Cecelia provides investigative support by gathering materials necessary for claim filing, processing offers from trusts, processing audit requests, and replying to specific inquiries from trusts requesting more information pertinent to asbestos-related claims. In addition to the legal support she provides, she loves being able to serve the community through volunteering with various groups and charities supported by Ward Black Law throughout the year.
Cecelia loves the opportunity to help bring justice to those who are hurting or have been wronged in the firm’s specific practice areas. She has a heart to help clients navigate the process of opening and maintaining an estate after their loved one passes. She understands how overwhelming it can be for clients to figure out the legal details, while healing from the grief and loss of their loved one. She also appreciates the small business atmosphere and fantastic work culture at Ward Black Law.
Cecelia is a Greensboro native and grew up in a tight-knit community. Her fondest memories as a child were taking walks with her grandparents on their street, sitting in their yard swinging and talking, riding bikes with friends, and annual summer beach trips.
When she is away from work, Cecelia loves spending time with her children and friends checking out new local restaurants and shops. She likes a good medical drama to watch on TV and enjoys relaxing in a hammock where you might find her reading a book by one of her favorite authors, Lisa Bevere, or listening to a favorite podcast such as The Dr. John Delony Show or That Sounds Fun podcast with Annie F. Downs.
