What is Tepezza?

Tepezza, or Teprotumumab, was manufactured by Horizon Therapeutics to treat a condition known as Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). TED is an autoimmune disorder that causes swelling around the eyes and may cause the eyes to appear to bulge out of the head. This condition can also be linked to Graves disease.

Tepezza was developed to help treat the symptoms of thyroid eye disease and is administered in a series of eight infusions over the course of six months. These infusions were developed to help reduce some of the symptoms that can occur due to TED including pain, redness, swelling, and double vision.
